Dr. Lisa Herbert is a Board Certified Family Physician. Dr. Herbert received her medical degree from Syracuse Medical School and completed her residency in Family Medicine at Mountainside Hospital in Montclair, New Jersey. She is also a graduate of the Coaching and Positive Psychology Institute, Certified Personal and Executive Coach Program and a member of the International Coaching Federation.
Dr. Herbert’s background includes 20 years of clinical private practice and she has also held administrative duties as Medical Director of a NJ based Insurance Company, Jersey Shore University Medical Center and Clinical Assistant Professor in the Department of Family Medicine at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of NJ (UMDNJ).
Dr. Herbert is dedicated to giving back, helping communities and transforming lives. As an undergraduate student at Stony Brook University she developed a premed program with 3 other committed students to attract minority students into the field of medicine. For 19 years, this premed program helped hundreds of students learn about the medical field and supported their aspirations to become a health professional. After completing her medical training, she served as Clinical Assistant Professor at UMDNJ, where she mentored and taught several medical students. She volunteered with the Girl Scouts of Central and Southern New Jersey to direct a S.T.E.M. program for at risk high school girls in Camden County. She continues to host health fairs, speak to area schools about the medical field and gives wellness lectures to the community.
